  16. I narrowed down the "no connection" problem: it occurs _only_ when I 
  17. boot with System 7.5, and more exactly, the 7.5 that is preinstalled on 
  18. this PPC 6100. (For starters, I found half a dozen or so tools missing 
  19. from it, the Apple Modem Tool, the Serial Tool, etc. etc... I brought 
  20. them over from a 7.1 Mac.) Wish I had a System 7.5 installer floppy set.
